ATT U Verse iPhone App
After days of silence on its presence, AT&T today formally launched its Mobile Remote Access app for the iPhone and iPod touch. The free software gives subscribers to the carrier's U-verse IPTV service control over their DVR units, including queuing up future recordings based on the TV schedule as well as deleting shows that are already stored on the set-top box. It can filter to only show favorites or HD content and can find shows based on metadata like an actor's name.
The software needs an existing U-verse subscription to work but is accessible over both 2G and 3G cellular connections as well as Wi-Fi. It currently only requires iPhone 2.2.1 or later.

groundbreaking, kudos to AT&T for this app.
...and I'm not even an AT&T tv service subscriber.

I will be more impressed when ATT offers MMS. If Golden Girls is that important, That person would all ready own it. G4 repeats its shows every 12 hours.
MMS now!

No, I'd be more impressed if ATT would stream or send you the show from the DVR to your iPhone/iPod Touch.
No one cares that much about MMS. We found that out over the last year, when all the iPhone apologists told us MMS was a waste because you could just email...

I'm still wondering what the big deal is about MMS and have no intention of paying for it.
