YouTube video surge
Mobile YouTube uploads have shot up dramatically with the release of the iPhone 3G S, Google claims. Whereas uploads have grown approximately 1,700 percent in past the six months, Google notes that figures rose 400 percent daily on June 19th, when the 3G S was launched in eight countries. The 3G S is the only iPhone capable of video recording, and is able to upload directly to YouTube. Apple and Google maintain a close corporate partnership.
Files can be delivered using either a Wi-Fi or 3G connection. Google acknowledges that many of the clips so far are simply test videos, demonstrating the technology rather than making any practical application. The company is in fact encouraging users to share test clips through social networking sites, with the hope of inserting some of them into a special Spotlight Video. Participants must tag files with the word "mobiletest," and send a Twitter message to Google with "mobiletest," "@YouTube" and the video link in the body.

Come on...
This is clearly faked... the "Uploaded by iPhone" badge on YouTube is not there...
