ZINNET recently announced the release of the brite-View CinemaCube HD multimedia player and the Air HD wireless HD transmission and receiver kit. The CinemaCube connects to HDTVs via a choice of S-video, component or HDMI cables for video as well as RCA or optical for audio. Connecting a USB drive to one of its two ports lets users view the stored media on the connected TV.

CinemaCube also has an Ethernet port to connect to PCs to share media, while its built-in BitTorrent downloader with networking capabilities allows users to download files without the need for a PC. Supported file formats include XviD, RMVB (Real), WMV, AVI, MP4, Matroska, H.264, MP2, MP3, JPEG, BMP and PNG formats.

The Air HD Wireless HD Transmitter and Receiver kit can wirelessly stream uncompressed HD content from a source to an HDTV up to 70 feet away. There is support for 1080i output at 60 frames per second or 1080p resolution at a film-standard 24 or 30 frames per second. The Air HD also allows games to be played remotely, as its latency is rated at less than 1ms. Connections include two HDMI inputs, two sets of components and two sets of RCAs. There is one HDMI output.

The CinemaCube costs $90, while the Air HD is priced at $400, with both available via Amazon.
