Sprint BBerry Tour Launch

Sprint today confirmed that its version of the BlackBerry Tour will run head-to-head against the Verizon model this month. The former will ship its Tour on the same day, July 12th, and for the same $200 on a two-year contract. It will also handle world roaming thanks to the addition of quad-band GSM and EDGE as well as European 3G, but it should bring access to Sprint-specific music downloads, TV streaming and a custom NASCAR app.

The Tour normally runs on CDMA for calls and EVDO Rev A for 3G data and carries most high-end smartphone features, such as a 3.2-megapixel camera and GPS. It also partly replaces the Curve with a built-in 3.5mm headphone jack and expected microSDHC storage.
