China's Inkia outs two Atom-powered MIDs

Inkia shows Atom MIDs
Chinese electronics maker Inkia has recently launched a pair of nameless Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs) powered by 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPUs, with both 7-inch and 5-inch versions. Each is equipped with an 800x480 resolution touchscreen, 1GB of RAM and solid state drive storage up to 32GB. The preloaded operating system is either Linux or Windows XP. Other features common to either system include 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
The 5-inch MID can be had with a choice of Z500-series Atom CPUs, ranging in clock speed from 1.1GHz to 1.6GHz, and otherwise has a microSD memory card slot for expanding memory or transferring files. There are a pair of mouse buttons, stereo speakers and both a 0.3-megapixel webcam and 3.2-megapixel camera. A two-cell, 1,900mAh lithium polymer battery powers the device.
The 7-inch MID boasts gets an SD/MMC card slot in place of a microSD, a single 0.3-megapixel webcam, the 945GSE/ICH7M chipset for its N270 Atom and an uprated 3,000mAh two-cell lithium polymer battery. A VIA CPU-powered version of the 7-inch MID is also offered.
There are no prices for either device, and whether or not they will make it to North America under a different brand is also unknown. [via Pocketables]
