Acer 11.6-inch Timeline

Backing up an earlier rumor, the existence of Acer's 11.6-inch Timeline 1810T notebook is all but confirmed thanks to some leaked images. The chassis is shared with the Aspire One 751h, including its 11.6-inch, 1366x768 resolution screen. Other components include a 1.4GHz Core 2 Solo SU3500 and an integrated GMA 4500 graphics chipset that gives it enough power to decode HD video. Using a GS45 Express mainboard also provides headroom for up to 4GB of RAM.

While hard drive specs are unknown, a 160GB hard dive is most likely to be included. It will be preloaded with Windows Vista Home Premium, though users will have the option of upgrading for free to Windows 7 when it's released in October. The PC will include Wi-Fi, an HDMI output, optical audio output and a gigabit Ethernet port. Options will include a 3G data network connection and Bluetooth 2.1 support. The battery life is said to be good for eight hours.

Pricing or release dates are unknown at this time, but the system cost is expected to fall between that of the Aspire One 751 netbook and the larger Aspire Timeline 3810T notebook. [via Macles]
