Sonos CR200 details leaked
Confirming an earlier image leak showing Sonos' upcoming CR200 remote control, the company accidentally slipped the product page ahead of schedule. The device features a smaller profile than its predecessor, but with a considerably larger display. The 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen will now serve as the primary control interface, enabling users to flick through content or search for items by using an onscreen keyboard.
The CR200 utilizes a brushed aluminum housing, along with a glass screen and backlighting that is claimed to be suitable for outdoor use. A light sensor enables the screen and button backlights to be automatically activated, while a motion sensor wakes the device when it is picked up. The company lists a battery life of between two and five days, although users can swap the battery if needed.
The CR200 will be available for $350, or as part of the Bundle 250 for $290. The launch date remains unknown, however the presence of a staging page suggests the formal introduction may be close. [via Engadget]
