LG GC990 Louvre Spotted

LG has tipped its hand as to its future phone plans with a Warsaw demo of a very high-end feature phone. Going under the GC990 name, the full touchscreen device seen by GSM Arena is the third beyond the Pixon12 and Satio known to carry a 12-megapixel camera and just the second beyond the i8910 to record 720p video. It should also be relatively strong in its own right with an intelligent zoom feature, ISO 3,200 light sensitivity and "zero" shutter lag.

Other aspects should be similarly upscale with full 16 million-color 3.2-inch display, GPS and Wi-Fi. The S-Class 3D interface found on the Arena and other 2009 LG phones carries over to this device.

LG has acknowledged the GC990 but calls it a "concept" for now and says it doesn't have definitive plans to bring the phone to market. However, the phone is unofficially deemed likely to translate to a production model given its relatively complete state and LG's habitual focus on strong camera phones like the Viewty Smart.
