VTech launches home phone

VTech on Monday availability of its LS6245 wireless home phone with an integrated digital answering macjine that can connect both landline and cellular calls. At the same time, users can pair the system with up to eight Bluetooth devices, such as cell phones or headsets. Thanks to the speakerphone on the base station or the optional add-on handset, users can have to have two conversations at the same time, with one being a landline call and the other from a paired cellular line.

Two cellphones can also be connected to the LS6245 at the same time, and when one calls, users can answer it on the home phone. The handset has a built-in speakerphone of its own. The handset and base station use touch-sensitive buttons for a sleek look, with either also featuring a reverse LED screen for displaying information. Users can also choose from 18 musical ringtones.

The LS6245 is now available online and at Best Buy stores, priced at nearly $80, while an add-on handset with charging base, the LS6204, can be had for $45.
