Samsung Solstice Leak

AT&T should pick up a low-cost touchscreen phone in a matter of days, according to a late leak. Previously known as the Infinity, the Samsung Solstice should bring a 3-inch LCD touchscreen with Samsung's custom TouchWiz interface and an on-screen keyboard with haptic (vibration) feedback. A promo sheet given to BGR shows it getting features matching its budget aim with a 2-megapixel camera, 3G over HSPA and assisted GPS.

The solstice is expected to suffer compared to the iPhone 3G without the presence of a true smartphone OS and its dependence only on microSDHC cards for storage, but it should be price-competitive with Apple and sell for $100 after both a mail-in rebate and signing a two-year contract. It could be in stores as early as August 2nd and should receive an official launch very soon.
