Joby GorillaMobile Tripod
Joby this afternoon shifted the GorillaPod past its original camera focus and launched the GorillaMobile. The tripod can attach to the back of many devices, particularly pocketable devices like the iPhone or a Flip camera, and relies on the company's signature adjustable ball joint legs to give it a stable surface regardless of where it's placed. It works as a conventional stand but can be bent to grab on to surfaces such as a bicycle handle.
A typical box comes packed with a suction-cup mount for temporarily holding a given object as well as a pair of residue-free adhesive clips for devices that are likely to stay on the GorillaMobile for a long time. Joby only delivers the tripod by late summer and is pricing it at $35; the company's website lists it as selling for $30, however.

different mount
I have this type of tripod and it works well for light weight cameras. Instead of using an adhesive to attach the tripod, I'd rather see it use a well-attached iPhone protective shell so I could snap it on and off, not worrying about the adhesive. The shell could even be a half shell, sliding the iPhone into it (although for landscape photos a complete shell would be safer).
