Samsung Solstice official for AT&T

Samsung Solstice ATT

AT&T on Thursday quickly validated a leak by launching the Samsung Solstice. One of Samsung's few budget full touchscreen phones, the handset has a 3-inch touchscreen and provides haptic feedback to improve the physical feel of the on-screen buttons and QWERTY keyboard. Like the Impression, it has the widget-centric TouchWiz interface.

The handset touts 3G but keeps costs down by using both non-native GPS as well as a 2-megapixel camera. Most of its storage also depends on microSDHC cards instead of internal memory. Although not a smartphone, the Solstice will cost the same $100 on contract as an 8GB iPhone 3G when it goes on sale August 2nd.
