New EN104L servers ship

Sans Digital has announced it is adding new Xeon CPUs to its 1U 4-bay EN104L+XE servers. The EN104L line will get dual-core 1.86GHz CPUs with 2MB of cache and 2GB of DDR2 memory, allowing for over 100MBps of throughput over a single network connection. The improved processor will also allow for new features in the servers, like folder replication and snapshots.

The two systems support RAID 0, 1, 10, 5 and 6 configurations, and carry dual gigabit network connections for fault tolerance or spread performance. 80 PLUS power supplies are used for efficiency, and four drive bays are present, holding up to 8TB of data. Status indicators indicate power, activity and overheating or fan failure.

EN104L+XE models are now available for $1,430 diskless, and at costs of up to $2,830 for 8TB of included storage. Color options include silver or black.
