nuvifone, BB 9700 at ATT
Through a leaked product list, AT&T has revealed information on several upcoming phone releases. Included in these is the BlackBerry 9700, believed to be the Onyx; the latter has been described as a Curve 8900 with restored 3G broadband. Also mentioned is the nuvifone G60, Garmin's long-delayed smartphone, which concentrates on GPS navigation while still providing functions like web browsing.
HTC phones scheduled for the carrier include the Tilt 2, in versions with or without a camera. The device is better known as the Touch Pro2, which is normally equipped with a 3.2-megapixel camera, plus a 3.6-inch touchscreen, Windows Mobile 6.1 and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It is uncertain if the AT&T version of the phone will be equipped with the new 3.5mm headphone jack.
The remaining HTC product is the Pure, thought to be a version of the Snap. It again uses WM 6.1, but relies on a non-touch display with an inline keyboard. Some other features should include Wi-Fi and a two-megapixel camera.
Shipment of the leaked phones could occur anytime between two weeks and three months out from the present date.
