Rogers adds Samsung Hype A256 to pay-as-you-go

Rogers gets Hype A256


Canadian wireless provider Rogers has added the Samsung Hype A256 to its Pay-As-You-Go lineup. The entry-level candybar device features a QWERTY keyboard and has quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity. Otherwise, there is Bluetooth support, a VGA camera with 4x zoom and just 16MB of internal memory supplanted by a microSD memory card slot.

The A256's 2.2-inch display has 176x220 resolution, and there is a WAP browser for viewing Internet pages. The A256's battery is rated at five hours of talk time or as much as 12.5 days in stand-by mode.

The A256 is available now, priced at $90.
