Myvu intros Crystal EV
Myvu on Thursday announced it will soon begin offering its latest wearable video eyewear, the Crystal EV, at InMotion Entertainment stores in airports across the US. The Crystal EV is an improvement over the original Myvu Crystal as it increases the equivalent screen size to 64 inches, or about a 30 percent greater area than the outgoing device. The Crystal EV uses Myvu's SolidOptix technology and is both certified for use with Apple's iPhone and carries Nokia Forum compatibility.
Like the Crystal, the EV has VGA (640x480 pixel) resolution, includes stereo earphones with built-in noise reduction, and a battery that is rated for four hours before recharging via a USB cable. An inline remote lets users adjust volume, contrast and brightness levels.
The standard edition of the Crystal EV bundle ships with cables that let users connect it to their Zune media players and Nokia N95 phones, as well as DVD players, camcorders and video game systems thanks to composite video cables. This kit will be priced at $300. An all-in-one bundle adds a travel case and iPhone/iPod cable, and will cost about $325. Release dates have yet to be announced, but the Crystal EV is expected to ship soon.

Still 640x480.
"as it increases the equivalent screen size to 64 inches, or about a 30 percent greater area than the outgoing device"
Same resolution as before, so what the h*** does this marketing-speak actually mean.
