Samsung Gravity 2 at T-Mo

As promised, wireless provider T-Mobile announced on Wednesday that the Samsung Gravity 2 handset is now on sale. The quad-band GSM sequel sports a 240x320 resolution screen and a full QWERTY keyboard that slides open vertically. There is a dedicated external messaging button, and users can send SMS, MMS and video messages, as well as e-mail and instant messages.

The Gravity 2 otherwise sports a 2-megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom and video recording. It stores files to a microSD memory card slot, which also holds supported MP3, AAC and AAC+ audio files. Stereo Bluetooth lets users connect wireless headsets or headphones. There is also assisted GPS functionality with TeleNav, and web browsing is accomplished thanks to T-Mobile's web2go service.

Available in metallic orange or mauve, the Gravity 2 is priced relatively low at $30 on a new two-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate.
