Computer maker ASUS will apparently launch its rumored NVIDIA Ion-based Eee Box and all-in-one Eee Top PC sometime in September, according to a Friday report. Besides making the assertion, the anonymous sources for DigiTimes maintain the often delayed Eee Keyboard will be out in October, while two ultra-thin notebooks in the company's U/UX series will also be out in September.

The Eee Top, a 20-inch all-in-one nettop PC, will sport a dual-core Intel Atom 330 processor and will cost the equivalent of $668, while the Eee Box will be much cheaper, at about $304. All will feature NVIDIA's Ion graphics platform, which is expected to be ultra-efficient while still decoding full HD video in hardware.

The Eee Keyboard will act as a PC-in-a-keyboard, and double as a sort of remote for controlling multimedia devices such as home theater systems. The price of the Eee Keyboard is expected to be in the $400 to $500 range.

HP is purportedly launching an Ion-based netbook in September, at the same time as new ultra-thin notebooks.
