Nokia World spoilers

Ahead of next week's Nokia World show, German site NokiaPort is claiming to have some news about the future of the world's largest handset-maker's future products. This includes a debut of two new series of devices, including the Cseries and Xseries, both of which the company trademarked earlier this summer. The first Xseries model will apparently be an updated version of the 5530 XpressMusic handset, with the addition of 3G network support. This indicates the XpressMusic line will be replaced by the Xseries-branded devices.

The report goes on to say a second Nseries device will join the touchscreen N97 smartphone sometime in 2009. This could be the phone that is pictured in the attached leaked and close-cropped image.

Sometime in 2010, the first Eseries device with a touchscreen and the 5th Edition S60 OS is expected, while the recently introduced N900 flagship touchscreen smartphone will be joined by a Nokia N920 tablet, details of which are unknown, though this device isn't due until about mid 2010. Both will sport the Linux-based Maemo 5 operating system. At the same time, OMAP3 processors will be introduced into more devices than just the N900, which uses a Cortex A8 CPU.

Nokia also seems to be phasing out its xenon flash technology, and starting to introduce capacitive touchscreens. [via Engadget]
