NEC Display recently announced the upcoming release of its MultiSync EA190M 19-inch desktop monitor meant for workers. It has environmentally conscious features that include an ECO Mode, and is said to be twice as energy efficient and contain half as much mercury in its build compared to traditional LCD displays.
The EA190M has a native 1280x1024 resolution along with a 250 cd/mē brightness rating, a 900:1 contrast ratio and a 5ms pixel response time. A four-way stand can pivot, tilt and swivel the display as well as adjust its height over a range of 4.3 inches. The monitor's Dynamic Video Mode has five presets that include a standard mode, text viewing mode, movie, photo and game.
Input is supplied over DVI and VGA, with a pair of built-in speakers firing down towards the desk to save space, and there is a 3.5mm headphone jack. The EA190M will be available for $259 in September.
