Ultra affordable AIO inkjet printers from Kodak

Kodak on Wednesday announced it has released the ESP 3250 and ESP 5250 all-in-one inkjet printers, which are said to have the lowest overall ink replacement costs. Either has an intelligent paper tray system that can adjust settings based on paper type and size to reduce mistakes. Print speeds are rated at 30 pages per minute in black and 29 pages in color for either model.

The ESP 3250 has a 1.5-inch color LCD which allows users to print without needing a PC connected, thanks to a memory card reader. The 5250 bumps up the LCD size to 2.4 inches and adds Wi-Fi capability.

Both can print on either side of a page, and can scale down pages to fit on a single sheet. Being all-in-one printers, the pair can also scan and copy pages, with the former capability made possible thanks to a 1,200ppi, 24-bit scanner, while copy speeds mimic print speeds. A 4x6-inch color photo can be printed in 29 seconds.

The Kodak ESP 3250 is priced at $130, while the 5250 costs $170. A replacement black ink cartridge is priced at $10, while a four-color cartridge costs $15.

    No-bluetooth?

The fact that Kodak is still making printers without Bluetooth capabilities built-in, makes their printers a waste of money and time to me. And worse, you can't even use a standard Bluetooth adapter that you already own, you have to buy their special Kodak $50 adapter to use your Bluetooth. What year are we in??

    Bluetooth is a waste

Bluetooth does not provide enough bandwidth for quality pictures to be printed in a timely manner, in other words it is unbelievably slow.
