Unusually small

Samsung has announced the P410M, an LED-based DLP projector. The unit is designed with size in mind, and as such measures no more than 5.8 inches long, and 2.5 inches high. Weight has been kept to under 2 pounds.

Specifications are limited to 170 ANSI brightness and 1,000:1 contrast, as well as a native resolution of just 800x600. The unit does have composite and VGA inputs however, as well as 140 percent coverage of the NTSC color gamut. Stereo speakers are rated at 1W each. A USB connection supports autoplay functions, so that audio, video and slideshows can be run from a portable flash drive.

Samsung is now selling the P410M for $599.

    170 lumens?

Unless you have a completely black room, this is going to be way too dim for anything but a very small screen size. Cool for the price, but you need to get up to about 1000 lumens before it's going to be able to replace anything in reality.
