MacPractice, CS Odessa add Snow Leopard support

In brief: Cortado has announced an update to its Hosted Exchange service for the iPhone, adding Mailbox creation support. CS Odessa delivers Snow Leopard support to its line of ConceptDraw applications featuring tools for project management and graphics creation. MacPractice, a developer of practice management and clinical applications, has added support for Apple's latest Mac OS X 10.6 operating system to its MacPractice version 3.6.8 software.

Cortado Exchange Hosting allows users to access popular Microsoft e-mail applications from their iPhone or mobile device. The company has added support for setting-up and configuring Mailboxes directly from the iPhone or iPod touch, as opposed to its previous capabilities requiring a PC. The service is based on Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, offering a 2GB mailbox paired with a personal address book and calendar.

CS Odessa has added Snow Leopard support to the latest versions of its ConceptDraw applications, including ConceptDraw Pro, MindMap and Project. Each app delivers its own set of features ranging from diagramming and vector drawing to project management for professionals. The company is currently offering new users a free 30-day trial for any of their ConceptDraw programs, which also work on Snow Leopard.

MacPractice, the developer of clinical applications such as MacPractice DDS and MD, has announced Snow Leopard support for MacPractice 3.6.8. The latest version is also compatible with Mas OS X 10.5 and does not require all MacPractice terminals to run the same operating system, enabling some programs to run on the new operating system while others remain on the old. Apart from the added support, the company is still having some issues with image capturing using the interface from MacPractice DR to SuniRay sensors when on the new operating system. Developers are currently working with Apple to solve the problem.

Why don't you guys check this stuff out...

Just spent an hour with this Cortado stuff. None of it works, not even with a lot of manual tweaking. It is the weekend, so I can't even get them on the phone to try to figure out how the story is wrong, or if the software just isn't ready for prime time. Would MNN please stop just printing every press release you get verbatim and check some of this stuff out. You are becoming less and less credible all the time.
