Gyration's Air Mouse Elite works in free air

Gyration has recently introduced its Air Mouse Elite wireless mouse that, like the original Movea Air Mouse unveiled nearly one year ago, can be used for navigation a pointer without the need for a flat surface. Similar in operation to the Nintendo Wii MotionPlus, there is a gyroscope built into the mouse that measures the angle and speed of movement.

The wireless RF connection has a range of 100 feet, and the mouse weighs just 3.3oz. It can also work on a desktop as well. Gyration foresees its mouse as popular for users who browse the web in their living rooms as well as those guiding slideshows and other presentations.

The Air Mouse Elite will be available soon, priced at $100 by itself of $150 when bundled with a wireless keyboard. [via SlashGear]
