HTC Imagio for Verizon spotted, dated
The HTC Imagio XV6975 smartphone that will soon arrive at wireless provider Verizon has been spotted again, showing more details and the required Verizon branding. The phone will run on Windows Mobile 6.5, but lacks a hardware QWERTY keyboard. It will also be the first full smartphone offering in Verizon's lineup to support FLO TV broadcasts.
The Imagio will support both CDMA and GSM voice networks, and otherwise has a 528MHz processor. The 3.6-inch, 800x480 resolution touchscreen will be familiar to owners of the Touch Pro2, but HTC's TouchFLO 3D UI is new and an improvement over its 2D predecessor. There is otherwise a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, a 3.5mm headset jack and a microSD memory card. Wi-Fi is integrated, with Opera still preloaded as the default browser.
The Imagio is expected to come to Verizon sometime during the first two weeks of October, though pricing is not yet known. [via PhoneArena]
