Ruby project was thought to be dropped

The rumored RAZR sequel, initially referred to as Ruby, has reemerged with the name Motorola V13. Reports late last year suggested the company decided to drop the entire project. However the device was recently approved by the Bluetooth SIG, likely indicating Motorola has continued to push forward with the Ruby.

The Bluetooth filing indicates the clamshell will integrate a 2.2-inch QVGA primary display and a 2-inch touchscreen on the external face. A 5-megapixel auto-focus camera with flash, microUSB slot, and Bluetooth 2.0 round out the known specs.

Launch dates and pricing have yet to be announced. It also remains unknown if Motorola plans to put an end to its RAZR branding which, several years ago, represented one of the company's best selling product lines. [via Unwired View]
