Sprint drops HTC Touch Pro2 price by $150

(Update with clarification of plans) Sprint is expected to drop the price of its HTC Touch Pro2 handset tomorrow to $200, according to a PPCGeeks member's talk with a Sprint representative. The $150 drop would match the $200 price the handset is being offered for at Verizon. The price is also after a mail-in rebate and after a two-year contract. The news comes from a PPCGeeks forum board user, who claims the news comes from a Sprint representative.

The original poster also noted those who bought the handset at Sprint's original $300 price less than 30 days ago can still get the new price by returning their Touch Pro2s or calling customer service. Many forum users report they have indeed received credits in their accounts after calling about the new discount.

Update: Sprint now says the $200 price will only apply to business buyers with 100 or more phone lines and not individual users, where the original $350 price will still apply. Verizon's $200 price is valid for any buyer.
