Dell adds hardware options to Inspiron 11z

Dell today said it has added more cosmetic and performance customization options to its Inspiron 11z notebook. Dell has now added expanded its range of color options for the 11.6-inch CULV system beyond the original black, including white, blue, green, red, purple or pink. There are also new processor, memory and hard drive options.

Buyers can now spec out a dual-core 1.3GHz Pentium, double the default memory to 4GB, or order either 250GB or 320GB hard drives apart from the standard 160GB hard disk. With the standard 3-cell battery, the dual-core CULV can power the Inspiron 11z for just over three hours, according to Dell, or about double when the optional six-cell battery is optioned.

Prices for the Inspiron 11z range from $399 to $861 when all the new and old hardware options are ticked. A pre-configured version can still be had under Dell's FastTrack program, which ships it out within 24 hours of the order.
