New Canon REALiS projectors get photo image mode
Canon USA on Tuesday said it has added two new multimedia projectors to its REALiS lineup. This includes the WUX10 Mark II and SX80 Mark II, both of which use Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS) technology. Canon has introduced a new feature on the pair, which is called Photo Image Mode and allows users to perform advanced color management adjustments to account for ambient light conditions. Settings include choice from three types of lighting, light and color intensity, as well as color temperature.
The REALiS WUX10 Mark II has a native resolution of 1920x1200 and offers 3,200 lumens of brightness. It also has a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and a total 40 degree range of digital vertical keystone correction. A 1W mono speaker is built-in. A remote control is included, while connections include an HDMI input, DVI, VGA, three 3.5mm audio inputs and one output as well as a control and Ethernet port.
The REALiS SX80 Mark II gets 1400x1050 resolution, along with 3,000 lumens of brightness and a 900:1 contrast ratio. It has the same 1W speaker as the WUX10, but adds an S-video and composite connection.
The REALiS WUX10 Mark II carries a suggested price of $12,999, while the REALiS SX80 Mark II costs $3,999. Both will be available later in October.
