T-Mobile shows upcoming handsets
On Wednesday, T-Mobile said it will soon release a number of new handsets, including a variation of the myTouch. Called the T-Mobile myTouch 3G Fender Limited Edition, it will sport a wood-grain finish to mimic a guitar's look and adds a 3.5mm headset jack. The standard-issue 4GB microSD memory card is replaced by a 16GB version, and is preloaded with exclusive videos and audio from unspecified iconic musicians.
The T-Mobile Tap is an entry-level touchscreen model with a built-in web browser. It has a 2-megapixel camera, a music player, stereo Bluetooth and a GPS receiver. It will be available in berry or midnight blue.
A flip phone, the Nokia 3711, is coming as well, with features that include an invisible external screen that lights up when needed. The 3G phone can access the web, has a GPS sensor that works with Nokia Maps, and includes a 2-megapixel camera. There is also stereo Bluetooth support. It will be available in a sable color sometime in the next few weeks.
T-Mobile did not release ship dates or prices for the other handsets, though all are expected to ship before year's end.
