    Good for the AppleTV?

This sounds like it would be perfect to use for AppleTV if users decide to swap out their included wifi card for the $30 video processor card that many are talking about doing on XMBC boards. Swapping out the included wifi card with a video processor card, enabling the USB port with atvusb patchstick, and using this wireless usb in the usb slot let's users expand the usability of the inexpensive AppleTV which people can get on eBay for a little over $100. Interesting :)

    Not so good for AppleTV

According to Davila, the XBMC programmer who wrote the code for the video acceleration on AppleTV, an Airport Extreme is the way to get your wifi back. He said hacking that USB port is a lot of work.
