Clickfree intros flagship automatic backup drive

Clickfree has introduced its latest flagship automatic backup portable hard drive, the C2, on Tuesday. It allows for the automatic importing of music from iPods and iPhones, burning backed up files to CDs and DVDs and extracting of e-mail attachments. All contained files are protected with 256-bit Hardware-Based Encryption.

Like previous Clickfree automatic backup drives, the C2 will automatically begin backing up the content of a PC it is plugged into, including photos, videos and e-mail attachments. Plugging it into multiple computers results in the same, with each computer labeled. Users can also customize what they would like to back up. The drive is compatible with Windows operating systems, including Windows 7, as well as Mac OS X 10.5 or later, and connects via a built-in USB cable.

Available in a glossy black or white, the Clickfree C2 can be had in 250GB or 500GB capacities, priced at $140 and $190, respectively. An optional dock is sold separately for $20.
