AT&T offers first full-sized notebook from Dell

AT&T on Wednesday struck a deal to provide 3G for a full-size notebook. Its version of the business-oriented 15.4-inch Dell Vostro 1520 notebook ships with an embedded 3G connection to AT&T's HSPA network for data access. Other than the link, buyers will also get around-the-clock hardware tech support.

The Dell Vostro 1520 costs $633 and will typically need a $60 5GB monthly data plan. Detailed specs of the Vostro 1520 weren't given, and neither was a shipping date. Basic Vostro 1520s from Dell itself ship with a 2.2GHz Intel Celeron CPU and a 160GB hard drive, but higher end versions sport 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo chips and 250GB or 320GB hard drives.
