Storm2 teased on Verizon website

The BlackBerry Storm2 9550 is nearing release in North America, and Verizon Wireless in particular, as it has been spotted on the website, albeit only as a 360-degree view. An earlier rumor had a release date for Verizon pegged at mid- to late November. The Storm2 will bring a 480x360 touchscreen and a new piezoelectric system that replicates physical feedback but still allows two-finger input.

It otherwise has Wi-Fi, becoming the first Storm with this feature, and has twice as much memory as the original. It retains a 3.2-megapixel camera, 3G, GPS and microSDHC storage. It will ship with BlackBerry OS 5.0.

European carriers are due to get the Storm2 on October 26th. Pricing for the device has not been announced, nor has any American release information. [via BGR]
