Dell has brought its Inspiron 13z notebook to Australia and Japan, both with Windows 7. While basic specs differ slightly between the two offerings, buyers still get a 13.3-inch, 1366x768 resolution, LED-backlit screen and a choice of Intel's CULV processors.

Standard Inspiron 13z systems in Japan have 2GB memory and a 250GB hard drive and the same OS as the Australian model, along with a DVD burner. Buyers get to pick from one of two 1.4GHz Intel chips.

Common features include an optional NVIDIA GeForce G105M graphics chipset with 512MB of dedicated memory is an option. A lithium-ion battery is said to provide more than five hours of battery life. The Inspiron 13z weighs less than 4lbs.

Pricing for the Inspiron 13z in Australia starts at the equivalent of $1,106, while in Japan less generously equipped basic models cost $982. [via Impress]
