An image has surfaced that allegedly shows the upcoming HTC Desire handset that will be heading for Verizon. Although the latest image, posted on the Boy Genius Report, appears to have been captured in poor lighting conditions, the overall form matches an earlier photo showing the Android-based handset fondled by Google head Eric Schmidt.
The source providing the dark image claims the device is "extremely fast," while the size is similar to the Hero. The Android OS is also paired with the Sense user-interface found with other carriers.
Specific details and a launch time-frame have yet to be confirmed, although early reports suggest the device may arrive sometime later this month.
