New volumes support RAID 0, 5, more

EZQuest has launched higher capacity versions of its Cinema Pro rack-mountable RAID and Thunder RAID products. Both storage devices are geared towards video professionals with flexible RAID settings for fast data-transfer rates or a balance between speed and redundancy.

The Cinema Pro is a 16-bay rack-mount unit with a capacity of 32GB in RAID 0, which provides 900MB/s throughput. RAID 5 settings provide redundancy yet deliver 870MB/sec speeds. The Cinema Pro supports RAID 0, 1, 1E, 3, 5, 6 and JBOD with e-mail and remote support notifications. It can handle SD, HD, 2K and 4K film environments, while supporting daisy chaining for larger configurations.

The Thunder RAID is a four-bay desktop volume that provides 8TB of storage in RAID 0, while also supporting RAID 1, 3, 5, 10 and JBOD arrays. It can handle 10-bit uncompressed HD video or as many as six 8-bit video streams.

The Cinema Pro is available in 16TB ($8,900), 24TB ($10,300) and 32TB ($11,300) capacities, while the Thunder RAID 8TB volume is $2200.
