Equinox gets a date for T-Mobile, full specs
As reported earlier, Sony Ericsson will begin shipping its Equinox flip phone to wireless provider T-Mobile on October 28th, the company announced on Monday. Full specs of the device have also been revealed, and include 3G network support, a built-in GPS sensor and a unique lightning effect that pulsates when a call or message comes in, the color of which can be customized for each specific caller.
Available colors include amber, sapphire, beryl, diamond and amethyst, with wallpaper themes that are made to match. Otherwise, there is a 2.2-inch screen with 240x320-pixel resolution. As earlier reported, there is a 3.2-megapixel camera that can shoot video, while a built-in feature lets users quickly upload it to YouTube. An FM radio tuner is built-in, as is support for stereo Bluetooth connections. A somewhat unique feature allows users to reject or silence incoming calls with hand gestures.
The Equinox will begin shipping at some T-Mobile stores and online on October 28th, although prices have not yet been announced.
