MPIO shows V7 player with color touchscreen
Korea-based MPIO is once again returning to multimedia players with the V7. The device sports a 3-inch color touchscreen with 400x240 pixel resolution and will be available in 4, 8 and 16GB capacities. The MPIO V7 has a built-in text reader, voice recorder, and FM tuner and transmitter.
A built-in accelerometer will turn videos into landscape mode when the device is tilted. Supported audio formats include ACC, APE, FLAC, OGG, MP3 and WMA. Videos that can be played back include AVI, WMV, MPEG-4, FLV and RMVB. The battery is said to last 15 hours for audio playback, and five hours when videos are playing.
Prices and ship dates for the V7 are unknown, but the player is likely to remain exclusive to Korea. The last new device from MPIO was the V10 introduced early in 2008. [via DAPReview]
