Eye-Fi adds Facebook support to Wi-Fi SD cards

Eye-Fi on Wednesday said it has added Facebook support to its Wi-Fi enabled digital camera memory cards, letting them upload photos and videos without a PC. At the same time, they can alert their friends on the social networking site when they upload photos to one of more than 25 other photo sharing sites the cards already support.

Prices for the Eye-Fi SD memory cards range from $49 to $149, with the entry-level card available only in a 2GB capacity and the remaining three having 4GB of storage. Functions among the cards vary; all support Wi-Fi, including free access in Wayport hotspots, while the Geo models add geotagging and the Pro supports RAW images for owners of DSLRs with SDHC card slots.
