HTC HD2 likely for T-Mobile USA

HTC today began shipping the HD2 to Europe and Taiwan but also confirmed plans to bring the phone to the US. The Windows Mobile 6.5 handset is due to ship to America through a "major carrier" in early 2010. While unnamed by HTC, it's expected the phone will be available through T-Mobile USA and will support the provider's 1,700MHz 3G network.

The handset is considered the most advanced Windows Mobile device yet and has a very large 4.3-inch, capacitive touchscreen that supports multi-touch through a new version of Sense UI that replaces most of Microsoft's front end with a much more touch-friendly interface. It's also fast, with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and touts 3G, Wi-Fi and GPS that has a special in-car navigation mode along with an optional car cradle.
