Samsung Mythic, Flight coming to AT&T Nov. 8th
Samsung Mobile began shipping two promised touchscreen handsets on AT&T's network. The Samsung Mythic has a 3.3-inch touchscreen only interface and is the latest phone to work with AT&T's Mobile TV service. It runs on Samsung's own widget-based TouchWiz interface and brings top-level access both to the Mobile TV service as well as Facebook and MySpace.
Otherwise, the Mythic has a 3.2-megapixel camera and stereo Bluetooth capability. It can hook into Napster Mobile and eMusic Mobile for music and has support for AT&T's Navigator GPS service.
Meanwhile, the Samsung Flight has a touchscreen and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Its touchscreen is not customizable, but does provide quicker access to text messaging, instant messaging and e-mail. There is a 2-megapixel camera, a full web browser and stereo Bluetooth support. AT&T's Navigator and Mobile Music services can be accessed on the Flight. The handset can be had in red or silver.
The Samsung Mythic will cost $200 after a $50 mail-in rebate, while the Flight is priced at $100 after a similar rebate. The handsets will ship on November 8th.
