AT&T intros two new plans for calling to Canada

AT&T on Monday announced it has added two new wireless plans, Nation with Canada and FamilyTalk with Canada, both meant to make calling to Canada less expensive. Subscribers to either plan have access to 1,000 Night and Weekend Minutes that can be used in the United States and Canada and not incur international long distance charges on wireless calls between the US and Canada. As with other AT&T plans, users have the potential to save unused minutes thanks to Anytime Minutes with Rollover.

As one would expect, there are some restrictions, including the subscriber to either plan having to be calling from within the US or Canada.

The Nation with Canada plans start at $60 per month, while the FamilyTalk with Canada plans start at $90 monthly access for two lines of service. Either offers data access at the same $2 per megabyte as data rates in the US while in Canada. [via CNN]
