19 new NTT DoComo handsets in 4 series introduced

Japanese telecoms provider NTT DoCoMo on Tuesday announced the upcoming release of 19 new phones for its network. Divided into Style-, Prime-, Smart- and Pro-series of handsets, there are some standouts in the range, including the waterproof F-02B that is said to be of jewelry quality and have a snap-on perfume holder or the SH-05B, which was designed by the top models from Seventeen magazine. These are two of the ten new Style series handsets.

From the five new Prime series handsets, which are meant for multimedia lovers, there is the notable F-04B which has a 12.2-megapixel camera and is said to have the world's first separable two-part body. There is a VGA camera on one half, and once separated, the two can communicate via their Bluetooth connection. MicroSD cards up to 16GB in capacity serve as storage. The F-01B, meanwhile, matches a waterproof body with a 12.2-megapixel camera.

Only two new Smart-series handsets were introduced, with the F-03B described only as being slim, luxurious and waterproof and sporting a 12.2-megapixel camera. The P-03B is said to have the strongest battery life of NTT's FOMA devices.

The two new smartphones in the Pro series comprise of the SC-01B, with Windows Mobile 6.5 and a touchscreen in addition to a QWERTY keypad, and the SH-03B with its 3.7-inch touchscreen and QWERTY keyboard.

No prices have been revealed for any of the new handsets, which begin shipping between the end of November this year and April of next year.
