ASUS Eee PC 1005HR sports 1366x768 display

A new Eee PC from ASUS, the 1005HR, will be released soon, as this unboxing video reveals. The main feature of this Eee PC is a high-resolution 10-inch display with a 1366x768 resolution, significantly higher than the usual 1024x600 resolution found in netbooks of this size and the first such resolution for an Eee PC netbook. Other than the screen resolution, the 1005HR is similar in specs to the existing Eee PC 1005HA.

Processing power comes from a 1.66GHz Intel Atom CPU and 1GB of RAM, while graphics are reproduced thanks to Intel's integrated GMA 950. The 250GB hard drive is preloaded with Windows 7 Starter Edition, and there is 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth capability and a VGA webcam. Power comes from a six-cell battery.

While the Eee PC 1005HR is currently shipping in Japan, it is not known when or if the netbook will come to other markets; most Eee PC models migrate to the US. [via Netbooked]
