Nintendo DSi LL manages 103K sales

Nintendo today said it had sold 103,524 of its new DSi LL handheld in Japan in the two full days since its Sunday release. The number comes despite a relatively high $221 price and is nearly 3.7 times higher than the roughly $250 PSP Go, which only managed about 28,000 units in a similar span.

The number is significantly lower than the original, less expensive DSi's approximate 170,000 units, but isn't intended to completely replace the upgrade released late last year. Nintendo has positioned the LL as a system for those who either want web browsing out of the box or else whose eyesight isn't as suited to the smaller screens of previous DS models. [via Kotaku]
