Nokia X6 available with unlimited music
Nokia today said that the X6 Comes with Music edition is now shipping. The media phone is Nokia's most advanced to support the unlimited subscription service and, with 32GB of internal storage, could theoretically download and keep about 7,000 songs without paying extra beyond the price of the Comes with Music phone itself. The phone can as always either buy tracks through Nokia or sync with a Mac or PC.
This and the regular X6 are notable for being the first Nokia device with a capacitive touchscreen that provides more precision and quicker response than resistive displays. They also get a 5-megapixel camera with a dual LED flash, 3G, GPS and Wi-Fi, although the version now shipping doesn't support HSPA frequencies for North America. The handset does tout quad-band GSM and EDGE for calls and 2G in the region.
The Comes with Music version costs 450 euros ($698) before any carrier discounts but includes one year of unlimited downloads that won't expire after the service ends. Nokia also bundles the games Asphalt4, DJ Mix Tour and Spore.
