Palm Pixi gets webOS update, 1.3.5 soon

Palm Pixi webOS update comes before Pre

Palm surprised Pixi owners this morning by pushing webOS 1.3.2 to their phones. The fix doesn't currently have any release notes but appears to boost performance for the phone, which uses a slower processor than the Pre and has been more likely to bog down with multiple apps open. The slightly older phone as such may not need the upgrade.

A more comprehensive update, 1.3.5, is also rumored to be arriving in mid-month and may center on removing a limit of 64MB in apps downloaded from the Palm App Catalog. It also potentially fixes a bug that drops the character limit for an SMS message from 160 to 70 whenever a special character is part of the text. [via PreCentral]
