HTC Android flagship under two names
HTC's Bravo flagship has been given both a much more detailed product shot as well as details of its apparent US launch schedule. The phone as promised is dominated by a 3.7-inch touchscreen and takes some styling cues from the Touch2. It appears to lack physical navigation control visible from prior images but may simply use an optical trackpad.
Previous escaped details have already supported beliefs that it will offer 720p video playback, 3G, GPS and Wi-Fi. Android 2.0 or later is also considered near-certain.
An unusual rumor today also suggests the phone will get a rare US-first introduction versus HTC's usual European and Asian introductions. According to Taiwan's Commercial Times newspaper, it's now expected to arrive first as the Passion, shipping in January and likely in a CDMA edition for Verizon. The reference Bravo wouldn't ship until April, when it would reach Europe through T-Mobile.
