Sony Ericsson fixes issues of Aino, Satio phones

Sony Ericsson announced it has resolved the issues that plagued its Aino Satio smartphones, addressing the former's freezing touchscreen and the latter's software glitch. The issues led UK retailers to stop selling the devices, and at least one retailer will bring back sales after the issue is addressed. The firmware update will also improve the performance of the phones and stabilize their operation.

Unlike an earlier software fix, the new one will be applicable to branded handsets, and was approved by UK providers. Phones 4u has already restocked the reflashed Sony Ericsson handsets. Carphone Warehouse indicated it will also soon begin selling the handsets again, though it has not yet posted up the Satio on the website, but the Aino is back up for sale. [via TheInquirer]
